Pilot Parachutes From Crashing Blimp at U.S. Open

A blimp crashed today near the site of the U.S. Open golf tournament.  Above, a view of the blimp after it crashed in a field and burned.

The blimp, advertising for PenFed Credit Union, deflated and burst into flames during the first round for the U.S. Open golf tournament at Erin Hills Golf Club. 

The pilot was able to parachute to safety and is being treated for injuries.
